There can’t really be only 10 people on Mastodon who toot their way through . Which means there’s something wrong with how I’ve got this set up, right? Horror.hub alone should have hundreds. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

@BeachsideReader Mastodon dot social shows 23. Perhaps the server isn’t aware of hashtagged posts from accounts that no one on the server is following?

@BeachsideReader If a person posts, and they aren’t followed by anybody on your instance, you won’t see that post in a hashtag search.

One solution would be to go to the hashtag page on different instances and follow everyone who uses it.

@BeachsideReader Another alternative would be for people to mention and follow the @thelastdrivein, @mutantfam, or @horror accounts.

@BeachsideReader There were a lot more people tooting last season. A bunch of posters moved to Bluesky.

@kamikat @BeachsideReader yeah, I figured bsky drew several away, but even then I don't think I saw more than a couple dozen folks.
