My hot take on the Vision Pro is the same as my hot take on every AR/VR/Mixed Reality headset produced in the past checks notes 20 years: "If most women can't use your product for 4 hours straight without throwing up, don't try to tell me that it's the future of anything." I said what I said.

Women can use a smartphone indefinitely without nausea. They can use a laptop indefinitely. A gaming console and TV indefinitely. But XR headsets cause motion sickness in most women in under an hour. 🤷🏿‍♂️

@mekkaokereke I’m familiar with the effect. And I’ve felt it often myself. I’ve never seen anything implying that it was gendered, though. Unless it’s just because only men are going to push through to play their Mr. Man Game? The Navy & Air Force have decades of research on this, they called it “simulator sickness.”

My Aranet4 has been so interesting to monitor with the recent cold weather. After shutting my windows and turning on the heat, CO2 levels jump deep into "the red zone" within just a few hours and stay there until I open up the windows again.

@onelson @webology Air Purifiers won’t do a thing about CO2, though. Are you in an attached unit? Is it possible you’re getting someone else’s HVAC/kitchen exhaust?
