I have served myself a double cheesecake portion, with fresh blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. I have made myself a pot of half-caf. I'm rolling Friday the 13th (1980) and will continue to roll sequels until I'm ready to sleep.
Annie hitches a ride in a jeep the last 10 miles to camp, and she's got the right stuff to be a Final Girl but sadly dies anyway. Never before have I seen it where a woman says, "Hey! That was the turn! Let me out!!" then actually dives out of the moving vehicle. If she'd managed to roll and not injure her leg, I think she might have made it.
I was complaining earlier about how worthless Part 3 is and there's nothing significant about it, BUT I think this is probably the first of the franchise to actually feature the hockey mask. In Part 2, Jason wore a cloth sack sort of thing. In the first movie, Jason basically show up until the very last few seconds and he wasn't wearing anything.
@tpherndon Jason as a slasher's origin story is pretty convoluted. In the first movie, it was all his mom murdering campers as revenge for other campers letting her kid drown in the lake.
At the end of 1, Jason's mom dies, and this is somehow the reason his drowned body is able to surface and pull the sole surviving camper out of her canoe and into the lake. The lake jump is literally the final frames before the credit roll.
There's an interesting remark on the wikipedia article for Part 3. I think it was a quote from a producer? Mentioned how the 3D setups were so technical, and so expensive, that they could only afford one take unless the 3D effect was completely botched. The performances were not a priority at all.
Yeah, that tracks. And also for any 3D movie I've ever seen, even the recent ones.
Part 4 is laughably "the final chapter" and tbh despite the fact my favorites from the franchise come later, I think it'd be interesting if it actually was the last Jason movie.

Once again my suspension of disbelief is deflated by women in bed with a full made-up face. That pillow would be caked and they'd look like a disaster.
I also hate it when people shoot a gun until they run out of ammo then they fucking chuck the gun. Guns are expensive. Like, I'd keep the clips too. If I ran out of ammo and I tossed my empty clip then later found ammo (but no clip), how fucking mad would I be? Very.
It's over. I only have 2 (3 if I bother with the remake) more Friday the 13th movies I can stream without having to fork out for a rental. I will not fork out.
@onelson The original F13 HAS to be one of the biggest ones, because of Betsy Palmer (Mrs. Voorhees), who was also in MISTER ROBERTS with Cagney, Powell, Fonda, and Lemmon.
