If you’d pulled me aside at any point before the age of 37 and said ‘one day you’ll do a sports thing and have a number pinned on you like one of those people who do exercise on purpose, for fun’, I’d have laughed you out of the room. And now I’m genuinely ridiculously excited about the chance to go ride my bike on EMPTY ROADS for SIXTY WHOLE MILES! Joy❤️
Anyway if you’re in London and you like cycling, you should have a go at the free bit if you’re around on the 26th. They just shut loads of roads and you can ride around central with no cars- https://www.ridelondon.co.uk NO CARS YAY!
@girlonthenet I did the LiveAid Race for Life (massively hung over after a wedding the night before because I am an idiot) and the best bit about the whole day was getting to run round London without traffic. Cities are sooooo much better when they are not being driven over by traffic.
@Mactonex YESSSSS absolutely this. I am mostly excited that I literally get to cycle on dual carriageways as part of this. No cars, only bikes! WHEEEEEEEEE <3
