It's my 45th birthday today! I always sew myself something special for my birthday. The Named Saraste Top is one of my favourite patterns ever AND it still fits me so it was the perfect choice!

I used the Lise Tailor "Nino cats" viscose fabric which brings me so much joy. 🥰

It’s us. We are “some people”. 😭 Day 91 for me today & I’m still suffering from fatigue so severe I can’t walk 5min or resume normal life.

True, I’m immunocompromised but also vaccinated more than most. But my husband has a normal immune system & still isn’t back to normal. He tested positive for 21 days (I was 25).

Don’t be the reason for ruining someone’s Christmas/winter/life. Avoid infection at all cost.

It took all day, what with the crushing post-covid fatigue requiring lots of breaks, but I sewed myself a bat dress on Halloween!

Feel like absolute shit today. I’ve been on/off ill with colds for the last 3 weeks, got well enough to do hospital visits Thurs/Fri and now have immediately come down with an ear infection. Fuck my stupid weak body.

When I tell people I tested positive for 25 days on home lateral flow tests, there’s a tendency to disbelieve that it’s possible, that they were inaccurate or I was doing it wrong.

Well, for those people, have a look at my positive PCR test taken at hospital on Day 24.

Today’s Day 34 & I’m just starting to see slight improvements to fatigue.

It’s not a bad cold, or the flu. It’s a life-altering virus. Do everything in your power to prevent catching it, and infecting others. #CovidIsNotOver

If you want an easier way to wear nettles, ramie is a very sustainable fabric made from nettles, similar to linen. I’ve made a few garments from it and love it (it’s sting-free, I promise!).
