@oblomov My So-Called Life was a show about a teenage girl and her friends in the 1990s. The star was played by Claire Danes and she had hair that was dyed VERY red because she was supposed to be kind of edgy (mine's not that red because I’m not that edgy).

Born with jet black hair that many Asians have, when my wife threatens to lighten her hair and dye it red, I actively encourage her.

Post cancer/chemo, I wish I could get me hair long enough to take "anime blue" hair dye.
