@cstross@slcw@Lazarou This is literally the same thinking as the OceanGate sub guy. Saying "Subs are totally safe, we don't need these regulations" while not understanding that the reason for the safety is the regulations.
Same with a lot of anti-vax folks. They don't see infectious diseases as a problem because we don't get them like we used to because of vaccines.
