I'm approaching 8 years with my 1080. I have a 3060 for compute tasks, but my displays are driven by the 1080.

It's showing no signs of needing replacement; it's driving a 1440p170 display and a 2160p60 display, no problems.

Steve basically comes to the same conclusion I did: The 1080 and 1080 Ti were probably the best cards Nvidia ever (or will ever) released. They represented massive performance gains and were the last series before the pricing got out of hand.
