It’s crazy to believe that I've surpassed 800 followers here on Mastodon! On that other site, I had over 6.1K but never had the engagement I am having here. Numbers don’t matter, quality does!
THANK YOU to all 800+ of you that follow me. I know I often post some weird stuff that not everyone agrees with.
I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations when it comes to posting random things and thoughts. I look forward to interacting with as many of you as possible.
The engagement here is way beyond what that other place had for me as well. The only place that had more engagement was Google+, and well, that great place sadly isn't around any longer.
@Aaron@jcrabapple@kylewritescode The people my wife and I play Fortnite with on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are people I met on day one of G+ actually. We've been friends ever since and finally met in person 5 years ago when we all went to Las Vegas. We've since seen them in person 2 other times yet they live on the other side of the USA from us.
@cliffwade@jcrabapple@kylewritescode Amazing! G+ was so good. I loved making circles that were interest-based. So I’d selectively post so only people who liked X would see my posts about X.
Anytime someone followed me I’d ask them to tell me how to sort them and I’d do so. Made for really great connections.
@dhepworth@kylewritescode Circles was one of the best things about G+. I was verified on G+, had one account with 60,000+ followers and another with over 200,000+ followers. Plus I ran the Nova Launcher communities that had 15+ million users and owned/ran the original Android community that had over 12 million users. Those were the good days.
