@Jdreben I can't see a theoretical journo server being setup to host someone else's posts. For one thing, why would they do that. For another there's issues of ownership etc
@Sbectol This is the first I've heard of this idea too, but to a certain degree it makes perfect sense to me. Yes it would be extra work... But Ultimately if they take a screenshot the ownership issue is worse for them is it not?
certainly less issue of ownership if OG poster can schedule the post to be deleted or edited. I think if they just did what they're doing without activity pub and without embedding they still get all the traffic but they get none of the advantages of doing what BT proposed in terms of respecting OG poster's ownership. Idk just thoughts. totallh agree the too much work aspect in practice might make this impractical
