@enchantedsleeper I feel like part of that is fans are no longer willing to assume good faith either, every mistake a mod might make like doing something subtly unwelcoming to fans of color or queer folks, is assumed to be deliberately malicious and that fan's "purity" is ruined forever with no willingness to believe they might try to correct their mistakes or bad behavior.
