God, setting up those rucksacks was such a pain in the ass. I loved how easy the old ALICE rucks were.

ALICE frame + MOLLE II ruck’s shoulderstraps + modified ALICE pack with better buckles (or just buy a MALICE pack body) = peak early 2000s ruck.
mikyopii, I saw some guys rocking something like that. Too cool for me.
