I finally got the Power Macintosh 8100 and it's apparently its the more expensive 100/AV model, which allows you to connect to S-Video and input/output RCA Audio. _The computer is surprisingly in good condition and I didn’t pay too much for it (around $100 not including shipping). The only thing is the CD cover is loose, but I can probably 3D print a new one or if the plastic bits might be in the computer, glue it back.

I still need to open it up to remove the battery.

Can't do much with it since I don't have the BlueSCSI yet and I don't have any blank CD-Rs to reinstall the OS.

Need to get an AAUI Ethernet adapter and a few more things to make it operational.

Curious what your plan is.

@Linux @yon Running old games, that is what I plan to use it for.

@chikorita157 @Linux Any cool time period games from Japan that runs on MacOS?

I was a filthy wintel person during that era.

@yon @Linux I think there is a good number on Macintosh Garden. Also, Bandai Pippin (Apple’s failed game console) games will work on a PowerPC Mac since it's basically a stripped down Mac that can run games, exclusively.

@chikorita157 That’s in very nice shape. I’d give it a nice clean inside and check everything while waiting for the SCSI.

Gotta do something with the AV part, even if it’s just to try it out :)

@yon Unfortinately, I have no retro consoles to hook to it. I also broke my system folder on my external HD, so I can't see what I fully have, although it has 80 MB of RAM, which is a lot more than what I had on the Performa 6200 (yes, it was a really slow and bad) I had during my childhood. It's a given that it will outperform it despite being a PowerPC 601

I may just take the RAM from the 6200, so I can have 112 MB of total memory, given if there are still free memory slots. The 6200 is worthless anyway.

@chikorita157 Love that retro consoles is the one thing you thought of that could be connected :)

I have a few :)

More memory is good. Pretty crazy how little memory we used to have back in the day.
