Hey, I’m always searching a home server (already post here lemmy.ml/post/15083947), I was thinking about a Lenovo P500, but maybe the PSU is a bit too special… My budget around $140, will buy used parts and one of the most important thing is the power efficiency (don’t care about the peak wattage but want to stay around...
The primary OS for this disk was Unraid. Its formated in BTRFS. I don’t think either of those matter. The disk spins and worked before the reboot. But now. No matter what machine, port or cable I use its not mountable. Is there anything I can try? I was going to attempt Spinrite on it however it doesn’t see anything either....

I like that Grocy also includes meal planning although the whole inventory management is too much for us. What I...
After getting fed up with TrueNAS (after it borked itself for the third time and I would have had to set it up AGAIN) I decided to learn Ansible and write a playbook to setup my homeserver that way....
I just started getting into self hosting using docker compose and I wonder about possible backup solutions. I only have to safe my docker config so far, but I want host files as well. What software and hardware are you using for backup?
I use nextcloud cookbook but I would really love another or a federated alternative. It does its job but I don’t think other people I know would use it.
I am in the process of setting up a home server, and I am struggling to decide. I have previously used yunohost but in the meantime, freedom box has matured quite a bit. I have also looked at Tipi....
