Mozilla Adds "AI" Text Summaries to Mozilla Developer Network, Frequently Wrong, Over Maintainers Heads

Mozilla added buttons to summarize their Mozilla Developer Network documentation with GPT 3.5 that are frequently wrong, as these glorified chatbots tend to be especially on technical matters. On top of that, they appeared in the Git tree mysteriously without any discussion or the maintainers of the MDN knowing about it at all.

So uh, that's some management nonsense to chase trends.

I think this is a typical abuse of ChatGPT technology.
Technical explanations are clearly better suited to an electronic dictionary compiled by experts, not a generative AI.

Leeks,

“Management nonsense” or “start of AI takeover as it starts injecting itself unannounced”! I’ll see my way over to /conspiracy.

Must be, how else does this crap show up everywhere at once? Even StackOverflow, a place that had to put out a riot because they didn't want no-effort copy-paste ChatGPT responses to every question (because they're crap) is apparently now like "AI? AI. AI!! AI AI AI AI. Beep boop GPT 🤖"

If I never hear "AI" again it'll be too soon. So tired of this shitty hammer-fad already.

Can we replace the Mozilla leadership with an AI? At this point I’m not sure which one would make worse choices.
