@LLS I've "deleted everything" once or twice. This time I couldn't be bothered. Besides, there's nothing wrong with what I've said, and it's nothing personal, either. Maybe it could be used to blackball me in the future, but that's a lot of steps.
@LLS I didn’t have much to delete as I wasn’t a big user anyway, but I saw the dumpster fire it was going to be and got out. Didn’t trust ol musky to do anything good with it.

I am always trying to get people I like to come here, whether from Twitter or threads or BS. I use lists on Twitter, and that has screened me from the fash and a lot of the ads.
@LLS I wasn't doing much with it for some years prior to the takeover. I'm not deleting my account so the name can't be (for certain values of) acquired by someone else.
@LLS Not sure if I either already deleted everything or walked away untouched. I remember logging in when they said inactive accts would be deleted, but I did this once, and this was more than 30d ago.
I never used it. Twice or thrice I used it to complain to companies because it was so much easier than trying to navigate their purposely crappy support lines, and in fact was the reason I opened it in the first place.
I mutually followed a couple of friends, but I never saw the reason to stay.
@LLS downloaded my archive, then paid for a month of TweetDelete to nuke everything. Elmo doesn't deserve to keep copies of the adorable things my kiddo said when they were tiny.
@LLS there's just a lot of people and communities still on twitter i value, and that whole part has been largely untouched by all the drama. i mean, it's not great, but it's very hard to move communities.
@LLS knowing how “deleting” often doesn’t mean actually deleting in these kinds of massive systems (and seeing that confirmed by stories of people complaining that their posts were revived later), I mostly just walked away after pointing whoever wanted it to my initial Mastodon account, only coming back to update it when I moved to a self-run server. Tried to follow some non-movers via the API but we know how that went, several months later. 😏
@LLS I'm still using Twitter for the Circles feature (for as long as that last) and to retweet (reX?) things and comment on other people's posts, but I've moved my active microblogging to here and Blue Sky, crossposting between them.

@LLS Deleted all my tweets. They put them all back up a few months later after a data center fuckup. Deleted them all again. Account still exists because I don’t want someone else running it, which feels like a real risk given my professional lane.
@LLS@cstross increasingly pulled back. Abstained, then left away messages. Then locked the account. Then deleted it when they started the LLM feeding policy.
