They’re probably Ghana regret that

dessalines,

Why? Several Hualong One’s are grid-connected in China and Pakistan already, its been approved for installation in the EU and UK, and a lot more countries have plans to install them.

Because the terms of the deal are predatory? China kinda has a history of that but correct me if I’m wrong here.

Source on the terms of the deal?

If you’re referring to “dept trap diplomacy” it’s just a western projection. China regularly forgives loans and most of African dept is held by private institutions

assassinatedbyCIA,

I’ll believe it when the reactors are up and running. Ghana has been trying to get nuclear power since the days of Nkrumah.

Hmmm I hope this works out better than the dam.

Only 6% of Ghana has electricity and I'm pretty sure they still have a Karpowership.

Bartsbigbugbag,

Hualong one is such a weird anglicizing of that name. 华龙一号 is hualongyihao, or Chinese Dragon number 1, which I guess it says in the article, but hualong one is like half English half Chinese.
