I love seeing people go through COSMIC for the first time. It is always useful to see what worked well and what needs adjustment. If y'all have any questions about COSMIC, don't hesitate to ask, I wrote the editor, file manager, store, and terminal.
Holy Trolls & Goblins, here's reason number 36,471 I love the internet:
someone over on Substack collected all 368 of Robin's exclamations from the old Batman TV series into a single post.
Yesterday, I submitted version 1.20 of Bills to Budget for review, then got this email a few hours later. This was at least the third submission I made from 15.4, and it was happily in the Waiting for Review state when that arrived.
Late yesterday, I resubmitted a new binary, just in case, and it’s still waiting. I’m now paranoid that’s it’s fallen into an AppStore Connect crevasse, and it will take me a month to get someone at Apple to fix it (all while being told that all is well)
This turned out to be a bad news/good news/bad news/good news situation - after getting approved this morning, I reached out to a user to let them know that a feature idea they proposed was approved. They responded quickly to let me know something wasn’t working right, and I realized I had introduced a major bug!
Quickly fixed, resubmitted, and filed for an expedited review - this time, it was approved within 30 minutes! 😅
Serious question: whatever happened to Sentiment Analysis in NLP?
As someone who has to really work to not end up in negativity spirals on social media, I was actually kindof looking forward to self-safety tools which would say things like "hey, that seems super negative and you asked me to confirm when you're about to post something this negative".
