Multi-material printing on the Bambu is incredibly wasteful, it turns out. Using a cheaper plain PLA as supports for PLA-CF. I didn’t think about how it needs to change filament every layer and how that’d mean another little bit of each filament in the “waste bucket” and another layer on the “waste tower.”

I’ll measure after but I think I’ll have used just as much waste filament as the mass of the print and the supports.

Only 22 hours and 48 minutes left on this one…

wookiearocket,

@chrishuck @linux_mclinuxface successfully completing any pc outside an enclosure, even with slight warping, is better than anything I've been able to accomplish at home.

3D prints of a rare ankylosaur dinosaur osteoderm generated by Tom Hartman of the University of Nottingham. The original bone was recently discovered in the Oxford Clay and donated to the Nottingham Natural History Museum @GeorgeTheGorilla

I’ll be bringing these prints to to help illustrate a lightning talk about the new fossil.

Today's run, so far: 10 cables for Brazilian computers, ready to be put in their cases. 5 more to go to finish this order.

Batch completed! In case someone wants to see what the adapters look like in cases... 😅

The cases are I designed. I used to buy generic plastic cases and spend time cutting and drilling them, now I push a button and the printer does the rest.

The warning label is to avoid mistakes: there are versions for Brazilian (Expert) and Japanese . The connector is the same, but the pinout is NOT. Using a JP adapter on a BR machine may FRY your monitor. It has happened before...
