I can post instructions later for anyone who wants to know how, but I figured out how to use the #AuroraStore to revert the #GoogleCamera / #PixelCamera app to the version before the horrendously dumb UI redesign.
It's wonderful to have my old camera app back. So much more convenient.

The Play Store has started notifying app updates for apps installed with F-Droid, and as expected, they cannot be updated. However, the Play Store still shows those failed updates. Does anyone know why this might be happening? #android#fdroid#playstore#update

The EU forces Apple to allow 3rd party app stores and browsers. Apple comes with a schema that costs more money to maintain 3rd party app stores than the older official app store version. I think Tim Cook is an absolute madman for Malicious compliance. 😂

Dialog zakończyliśmy bez konkluzji, bo prawdopodobnie nie potrafiłem wytłumaczyć, o co dokładnie mi chodzi. istnieje projekt Aurora Store, który jest projektem open-source "zastępującym" sklep Google Play, może posługiwać się anonimowymi kontami do "wyłuskania" plików apk z katalogu apek Google Play.
Proposal for an open source/FOSS edition of ChromeOS:
-Fdroid and Aurora Store as the app stores
-Vivaldi as the default browser (specially made for ChromeOS)
-Google integration replaced with Nextcloud
-Search replaced with DuckDuckGo, Qwant, or a pre-customized SearXNG
-Play Services replaced with microG
-WINE integration (if possible)

I am attempting to de-#Google my digital life (as much as is possible at the moment). I got myself an #Android#MobilePhone that does not have Google services installed on it, and I am using #FDroid, #AuroraStore, #APKPure, etc. to get the apps, and using the #AppBrain#AdDetector and #DuckDuckGo's #App#Tracking#Protection (#Beta built into their mobile browser).

I am doing my best to use #minimal apps, and only getting ones that are not security focused when necessary. I am not logging into Google, or any other #BigSocial/ #BigData services except when necessary.

My question is, are there any #SMS / #Texting apps that allow you to login on the #Web and #sync messages to your phone (even if only on the same network), and a #keyboard that has #VoiceToText that does not use Google or #Microsoft? I am currently using #SwiftKey, but only until I figure out the #T9 app I am using with the KB (HYBRID phone running Android 11).
If you use Aurora Store to fetch apps from Playstore, the search isn't working any more.
As a workaround you can search on play.google.com in a browser. Then share the URL to the app Linkbox. In Linkbox you can then open the link with #AuroraStore.
Seit einer Weile funktioniert ja die #aurorastore Suche nicht mehr, wenn man sich anonym anmeldet, was wohl die meisten Aurora Store Nutzer machen. Google hat anscheinend die Anzahl der Suchanfragen pro Account limitiert.
Have you tried to use an #Android phone without a #GoogleAccount ?
I find amazing how difficult is.
While possible, #Google makes sure to make it the worst experience imaginable: Play store doesn't work, #GoogleMaps and #GoogleTranslate constantly ask for an account, default apps cannot be removed... #Fdroid and #AuroraStore help, but you must be really determined.
Being concerned about #GooglePrivacy, I don't see any trace of Google's legendary phrase #DontBeEvil
