Hi again B.C. and all other pandemic activists!

In my experience, a phone call with a personal touch and a note of thanks for the hard work of political staff can be a lot more effective than an email. I'll explain why in this thread, and how I use these conversations to build rapport.

In an incredible self-own, it appears the former BC Liberal party, which held power for over a decade in this Province, has, by changing its name to BC United, eliminated itself from the population's consciousness.

If this is true and they are decimated in the fall election it would continue (maybe) a curious history in BC Politics whereby entire parties simply wink out of existence.

The problem wouldn't have been nearly as bad if the Party hadn't contracted out the design and construction of the Celebration class ferries to Germany. These vessels have been lemons from the get go. If we had built them in BC, we would have ended up with more reliable vessels, like the Spirit Class. This was a mean spirited move that was widely seen as punishment for the highly unionized ship building industry in BC. https://biv.com/article/2023/08/kirk-lapointe-bc-ndps-slow-ferries-problem-requires-solution-fast
