Do you like crossing the street flamboyantly and clean bike lanes? Learn about volunteering as a #BikeLaneSweeper operator, Friday, or get in touch with your neighborhood bikeloud chapter https://bikeloudpdx.org/get-involved/
Two vehicles crossing a bridge in the same time. One was moving some heavy machinery around, and the other one actually accomplished something with the expended time and energy. #BikeLaneSweeper#SeeYouAtTheNextLight
Having dragged the #bikeLaneSweeper all over SW Portland, I can say that Vermont street has the steepest bike lanes in town. 30th maybe, but it doesn't go through. Heading west from Bertha is steeper but east from 45th is so long.
This sweeper that can be pulled behind any bike is a great idea. I wish the city would keep bike lanes clear and safe, but that’s too much of an ask. 🙄
so this thorny blackberry vine smacked me on the brim of my hat and I stopped to get out the pliers and pull on it, brought down the top of a snag it was hanging from. Took about 3 passes to clean it up after kicking and pushing the majority aside. film at 11 maybe

swept Multnomah to Oleson and back, Terwilliger OHSU to Taylor's Ferry (PBOT needs to do some heavy lifting farther south here & sidewalks too), sidewalks on bridge over the freeway, both sides of Barbur from 3rd to 19th (ODOT come get your broken asphalt bits, and sweep your sidewalks?), Barbur NB from 24th to Spring Garden -> 19th, Bertha, yesterday Vermont past the schools, Capitol Hwy Terwilliger to the bridge across Multnomah #pdxBikes#BikeLaneSweeper#Portland#transportation@bikeloudpdx
Watch for the BikeLoud sweeper in your neighborhood! Volunteers are cleaning up the bike lanes before you get any more flat tires. PBOT needs 2-3 weeks to get a sweeper to every bike lane and many protected bike lanes are difficult for most of their equipment.
#PBOT can't clean many of these lanes during the day with big sweepers that would get stuck in #pdxTraffic! Sweepers on #pdxBikes can be out here taking the edge off of it every day and make a safer ride for everyone in #Portland.
What is the navigation app that tells you when you need to turn towards your destination to get there on time, so you can spend that extra time riding/exploring vs sitting around waiting for an appointment, #BikeTooter? Bonus if it could offer options based on which segments needed the #BikeLaneSweeper done to them.
