The cheerful morning greeting of a juvenile Cooper’s hawk who hasn’t really grasped that it’s a fearsome predator yet.

Another juvenile hawk atop a different fence gazing at me with same hopeful look in the early morning sun. They seemed to want to be fed like the other birds and were hopeful I would feed them too. The roof of the next door house is in the back ground.

Sulphur crested cockatoos were out at a picnic site near Lorne, Victoria begging for food. We did not oblige, but that did not stop this cockie from putting on a bit of a show on top of a traffic sign. #parrots #cockatoos #wildOz #birding #birdsofmastodon
