The bass part was the reason I needed a drummer. I can't keep up with the fast bits (should have played fewer notes I guess), but my clap track gave me sonething to hang on to for dear life.

@eyesquash What effects are on the "synth" bit? It really captures the vibe of the original part. I remember when this first came out the LP had a laser etched hologram on the vinyl and my friends and I were quite certain that that was the coolest thing ever. :-)
@boxspring It's a Beretta Special, Dunlop Crybaby, probably a NotAKlon, Bad Stone phaser I think, and maybe a little reverb. So mostly drive, wah, and phaser.
@eyesquash Love that tune! Sounds to me like you got the chords right, it's mostly just that the bass in the chorus isn't necessarily the root note, right? I think in this historical moment, this song needs to be elevated to the equal of "Take This Job And Shove It". :-)
