"I cannot tell you how extremely cool and useful your software is. I work in post-production as an assistant editor - for feature documentaries - and NeoFinder has changed my whole career. I used to dread dealing with large amounts of data now I’m like “BRING IT ON! GIVE ME ALL OF THE DATA.”"
Video producers from L.A. really like the power of #NeoFinder!
Whilst I've been a bit distracted by Final Cut Pro for iPad this last week, this coming week it's full steam ahead back on Recall Toolbox! The incredible Matthew Skiles has designed our new icons for it! Aiming for TestFlight early this week, release by end of week! Stay tuned!
I've just submitted a very early work-in-progress build to TestFlight. Woohoo! Fingers and toes crossed Apple approves quickly. This is definitely not the "final" version - there's still lots of stuff to do, but getting closer! Onwards & Upwards!
#FCPX and #Logic for iPad, now with extra flavor of "no, you can't use both your devices for the project, even if the apps are called the same on both platforms".
Coming soon! I've built a very simple macOS app that allows you to convert Final Cut Pro (for Mac) libraries into Final Cut Pro (for iPad) projects. Eventually I have plans for it to do some other cool things too, if there’s interest.
Currently awaiting App Review. Fingers and toes crossed!
Will be 4.99 in most currencies, USD4.99 equivalent for currencies that 4.99 doesn’t make sense.
Found my first #fcpx for iPad bug 😂 a rather cosmetic one given the focus of the app but still - the built-in TC plugin does not read/display source TC properly. I hope it's not a sign of broken TC somewhere more important
EDIT: NOT A BUG, I MISREAD IT FOR A TC EFFECT. IT'S A GENERATOR.
I watched a bunch of @felipebaez 's livestream where he tried it out.
I believe it is a product focused toward folk that aren't currently using #FCPX
For those of us that are currently editors and users I think the best case use for us would be reviewing footage, tagging, keyboarding (although I'm not sure that is active yet) and making selects and perhaps putting together a basic assembly of some sequences before shooting it over to a computer for editing.
I'm not sure if this is even possible but when working with stock in #FCPX I always wrap my offline download first in a container, so that once I get the hi-res source I can just drop the HQ version into the container and my edit instantly updates.
But when using lots of clips it takes a lot of time to set up, since you're manually adding clips to containers.
This appears to be a big deal --- a big move. Right?
Will this mean Apple will start taking #FCPX more seriously from a promotion and support point of view?
I've owned the Pro Suite of tools for years and have them on my MBP that I take everywhere so I'm not sure about this but I know a lot of people have been asking for an iPad version.
I just hope this means big things for #FCP and that Apple starts promoting it and supporting it in the pro market as well as the prosumer
Duplicate frames every second. But why? Both source and project are 25 fps (EU) and speed is at 100%. All clips synced with Sync-n-Link, all 100% the same way, yet this happened only in this one scene.
Among the many video file formats that #NeoFinder can #catalog is BlackMagic RAW (file name suffix .braw) that is being used by professional cinematography.
You get a thumbnail and important metadata about every BRAW video file.
