Discovery Land Company (DLC) plans to create a private resort for the mega-rich on over 8000 acres of land at #TaymouthCastle, #Kenmore, #GlenLyon and areas around Loch Tay. They threaten to destroy natural habitats & cultural heritage along with land access rights for the people of Scotland.

Stronuich Reservoir, near the wonderfully remote western end of little-known 25 mile long Glen Lyon. The glen starts near Fortingall in Perthshire and it ends only four miles short of the West Highland Railway near Bridge of Orchy. Clach na Sgoltadh (Stone of the Cleaving) is also known as Fionn's Rock and as The Praying Hands of Mary. It is uncertain whether it is a glacial erratic placed naturally in the landscape or a standing stone raised by human hands. I prefer to believe the legend that the Celtic hero Fingal (Fionn mac Cumhaill) shot an arrow that split the rock in two.
It's a bit of a hike to get to, but worth the trek!
