Day 25: Only seems fitting to end my year-in-review #BelieveInFilm#ArtAdventCalendar with this one. This woman moved into my house this year and changed my life. I'm amazed she's not murdered me yet, but it's been great having her around. Hopefully she sticks around for some time to come.
Merry Christmas, everyone. Hope you're all having a lovely time with people you care about, too.

Mom always used Great-great-great Aunt Becky's 1850's Tulip quilt as holiday decor. I own the finished quilt and another top with the identical pattern. (Rebecka Shaul, 1852, Herkimer County, NY) #ArtAdventCalendar#quilt#AntiqueQuilt#applique#TulipQuilt
Here is a series of #miniatureart pieces I did. They are two inches by three inches, except the square ones, which are three inches by three inches. And the fourth picture is the tiny brushes I use to create these! 🧐#ArtAdventCalendar Day 24
Day 24: the first "proper" camera I ever used was a #TLR; I used to be more at home with 6x6 than anything. This year, I dusted off my old Yashicas and gave medium format a go for the first time in years (in part thanks to @tapasinthesun encouraging me to give "camera scanning" a go).
Not going to lie: this feels alien after a solid decade of 35mm rangefinder photography.
For all of you who participated in #ArtAdventCalendar 2023, thank you! It's been lovely to see all your work and follow you all. I look forward to seeing what you'll create in 2024. I hope you've met new folks to follow and found some new community.
Thanks to @JayIsPainting and all who participated in this wonderful art showing this year. Happy Holidays to all! 🎉🎊🎄
I’m ending with my favorite photo (of 2500) I took while living in Paris for awhile in 2010. This is a garden outside of Notre Dame Cathedral after Sunday mass, and it’s just so PARIS!
It was fun to put together and I hope folks liked seeing my photos along with all the other great and unique art people posted. Glad I've found and followed some new artists doing interesting work.
Frohe Weihnachten für euch alle oder einfach ein paar gemütliche ruhige Tage!
Have a nice festive time everyone! Let's not forget the ones who haven't.
Thanks to @jayispainting for organising #ArtAdventCalendar again. So glad to meet all the wonderful new people!
This is a Xmas pyramid from Thüringen. My dad's old friend from Jena made it himself 50 years ago. It's the typical mixture of Holy Night and Hänsel & Gretel, and it spins around all the time because of the candles' warm air.
#ArtAdventCalendar Day 21- I guess I should have wrapped up by today? Oh well! Today's a work day, and tomorrow some cooking, I won't be getting caught up yet-I'll be adventing for days!
This shot from the day most meaningful to me anyway, the #WinterSolstice -even though it's the sun's big day this is the #moon over #GrandmotherSpruce#HappyHolidays to anyone celebrating, happy days off if you get some of those even if you're not celebrating! hope you get some self-care time! #Alberta#pagan
#ArtAdventCalendar Day 22 it's #Dec25 afternoon-- hope anyone who celebrates in any way is enjoying and/or surviving! The meaningful day for me is Dec 21, but we still treat this like a #holiday. Just two of us here, we had a nice pizza breakfast followed by pumpkin pie with ice cream...lol.. I'll cook a #vegetarian meal a bit later.
This view is from the morning of Dec 22, first sun of the real 'new year'! I don't often see #sunrises, ran out in boxers, t-shirt and rubber boots...lol #Solstice
