It's now been about 2 weeks or so since the wife and I got our first memory foam mattress, which we decided on a Nectar brand.
During these two weeks or so, I've been sleeping considerably better. I sleep a bit later than I was there for a while as I now wake up around 6am instead of between 4am - 5am.
I also don't wake up with a sore back, headaches or feeling like I want to immediately go lay down on the couch and take a nap. (cont...)
When I do wake up, not just for the day, but during the night, I don't experience the pain in my back at all, thankfully!
The last two mornings, since I've slept until 6am or a bit later, I honestly don't want to get out of bed as I'm still very comfortable whereas with the old mattress, at 4am - 5am I was ready to get out of bed simply because of my back hurting so much and just not being comfortable. (cont...)
Also, over the last several weeks of the old mattress, I had a pain around my right kidney that was slightly uncomfortable. It felt as if it were bruised or a slightly pulled muscle. Since getting the Nectar, that pain has since gone away in just the first three nights of sleeping on it.
All in all, I'm very happy with the memory foam mattress at this point and I hope I continue to be happy with it.
The first night with our first ever memory foam mattress from Nectar seems to have been a good one.
I woke up with next to no pain like I have been doing for a long time now. It wasn't a struggle to get out of bed due to the back pain either, which is very nice.
It is just day one, so we'll see how things go over the next week or two, but it was a decent nights sleep so far.
@cliffwade Looks awesome. Is it similar to plush mattress? Been meaning to replace and purchase one too. Looking forward to read your experience on it.
Good morning and happy Saturday to everyone here in the #Fediverse today!
Let's all talk about what our weekend is going to consist of today and tomorrow.
For me, I'm super excited as our new Nectar memory foam mattress is arriving today, 3 days earlier than expected. Can't wait for it to arrive, unpack it and let expand.
Nothing much else outside of video games most likely for the rest of the weekend.
"Big or small, pot or plot - interconnected #gardens have a significant impact on #biodiversity. Even small #urbangardens offer high levels of nectar production, with 85% of the total #nectar produced across a city provided by them."
The wife and I decided to shopping for a new mattress today and we ended buying this Nectar mattress(king size) to replace our 8+ year old mattress.
This is a memory foam mattress, which we've never owned before, so definitely going to be interesting to see how it is once it arrives, which is due to happen April 9th - 12th.
@britt@cliffwade Conversely, our first (and only) memory foam mattress overheated us in the summer months. Couldn’t wait to go back to a regular spring mattress. I do wonder if the newer ones are better, but don’t want to risk it.
@bitlevel@cliffwade We tried a few that were not quite right for us, one being quite warm. The one we have now has been awesome for the last 2 years. I definitely would check it out again if you’re in the market. I do think the newer tech makes for a much more balanced mattress temp wise. :)
