Thanks to all who attended my talk “Put a UUID On It!” at #PHPTek, especially to those who laughed at my jokes and got the Portlandia references—you’re the real heroes. 😉
The slides are linked to from Joind.in, and while you’re there, please rate the talk and provide feedback. Thanks!
As @ramsey posted earlier, and something I didn't realize, you can get a virtual pass to #phptek, and follow along. As well, you will get access to all the recordings afterwards. Next talks are at 2PM CDT here https://phptek.tv#php#laravel
If you're visiting #phptek be sure to grab a bookmark about the newest PHP Cookbook. It goes to production this week, but you can still preorder (or get it through O'Reilly) today!
It’s an odd decision for #PHPTek not to stream the keynote and some of the talks for virtual attendees, but I guess they need an incentive to motivate people to actually show up in person. 🤷🏽♂️
Sounds like #tek23 is kicking off. In what seems like the distant past, #phptek used to be my/our busiest time of year. That was fun for a bit, but I’m glad it’s in someone else’s hands. (-:
Heading to bed early for an early wake-up time for my flight to Chicago for #PHPTek this week. This will be the first in-person conference I’ve spoken at since 2019. I’m feeling a little nervous, both of traveling and of speaking, but I’m feeling very good about the talks themselves. #PHP
This week, I decided to set a Screen Time limit for myself, having all apps go into “limited” mode at 11pm. So far, this has gone very well, and I’ve stuck to it, though it really does shut down everything.
I was working in Keynote tonight on my presentations for next week’s #PHPTek, when it kicked in tonight. 🤣
#PHPTek just opened up the ability to get virtual passes to next week’s conference, so if you can’t make it in-person, you can still watch the sessions.
You can get your virtual pass and watch the live stream of the conference at https://phptek.tv
Tickets for the in-person event are still on sale, too. I hope to see you there! https://tek.phparch.com
This photo popped up in my “featured photos” today.
Taken at #PHPTek 2017 in Atlanta, that’s Sammy, Amanda, @joepferguson, @eric, and @john seated on stage, with @matthewtrask looming behind them on a large projection screen.
I’m pretty sure I was being a jerk in the audience that night.

Excited to announce that Andrew Cassell ( @alc277 ) will be speaking at #PHPTek on the topic of "Domain-driven Design in PHP"! Don't miss out, register now: https://tek.phparch.com
