Tempting: a #Stockholm-#Milan route involving a #TGV9211. #ICE71 punctuality stands at 52 % though... (Not sure why DB refuses to sell #EC323 available from Trenitalia.)
Ah! The trick is to look for tickets to #Verona, to catch the #Railjet for Bologna.
#ICE583 is often late but a 50 min connection to #RJ87 with a fallback to #RJ89 2 h later sounds good enough.
Once in Verona I don't care whether I have a ticket for Milano: the regional train is always 13 € and a reservation is not needed, in the worst case I can stand.
Now the usual (non) problem remains that the ferry to Stockholm is either 2 hours too late or 10 hours early.
Wie kommt man nur auf die Idee, im Zug am Notebook mit aufgedrehtem Lautsprecher einen Film anzusehen und das gesamte Zug-Abteil hört mit?
Es wird uns ewig nachhägen, dass Billa den Hausverstand gekauft hat ... 😔

Korrektur! Es ist nicht das Notebook 2 Reihen hinter mir sondern die ältere Dame einen Platz vor mir, die mit relativ lautem Handy am Ohr(!) ihre Telenovela anhört, als ob sie telefonieren würde. 😉
In the meantime I boarded today‘s #ÖBB#RailJet evening service “San Marco” from #Venice 🇮🇹 to #Vienna 🇦🇹. Nice views and, later on, dinner in a trains‘s @diningcar are among the lovely aspects of a relaxing journey.
Gestern hat die Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp neue Shinkansen N700s in Japan bestellt. 2026 sollen die geliefert werden und ich freue mich schon jetzt darauf, in einem der fortschrittlichsten und besten Zuegen der Welt fahren zu duerfen.
Wohlgemerkt auf dedizierten Strecken, bei denen dir kein Gueterverkehr, Regionalexpress oder Intercity in die Queere kommt. Denn auch das ist wichtig, um Kund:innen vom Auto/Flugzeug auf die Bahn zu bekommen! #Verkehrswende
