I had heard #SpecOpsTheLine was pretty unsubtle in its message so it should have been impossible to miss the point. I didn't learn until today that the loading screens have messages like "The US Army does not condone the killing of unarmed combatants. But this isn't real, so why should you care?" or that the villain in the finale turns away from the protagonist to the camera for some of his lines.
Media literacy died long before Cinema Sins, apparently.
