On my route to digitising my old negatives. An untouched (you can tell from the dust) photo of Toyah in concert. Taken when I was supplementing my meagre student grant (remember those?) by taking photos for a number of music papers (remember them?).
I can't honestly remember the first single or album I bought but this has to be in the reckoning. Operatic punk probably explains the eclectic taste in music I've grown up with ever since.
I just looked at a package I sent via Fedex Ground. It was checked in at #Toyah, Texas. What? Like, why on earth was there a check-in in that town? I thought maybe there's a transshipment depot there or something, but nope. There's nothing. Town of 61 in the trans-Pecos.
