Thanks to both @padraig and @Gwendolyn for identifying Monotype’s ‘Special Alphabets 4’ as the source of 𝕏 (ex-Twitter)’s new logo
Curious to know how you both identified this particular san serif font as the victim of Musk’s letter theft – especially as Musk’s logo (second image) is stretched vertically in comparison with the SA4 uppercase X (left in first image) – and the ratio of the stroke width to the width of the enclosed bar is very different (c.0.55 vs c.0.7)
As a middle-aged woman, when I first heard he was trying to recapture a time from his younger days, my first thought was: "How old is #ElonMusk?"
Not remotely surprising to me, he is 52 years old. 🙄
#Elon is having a #MidLifeCrisis, if you ask me, and he's dragging everyone else down in the process.
Some guys buy classic cars or RVs, some guys have affairs with their secretaries. Musk tries to fix a previous business failure of his younger days, but ends up empowering Nazis and destroying a $44B investment instead.
Thank God my husband only tried rebuilding a classic car.
