Example: #AixEnProvence to #Grenoble via #Veynes, just 250km (vs 300km+ by #TGV if you're lucky to have a #Valence connection) but just 2 connections doable out of 4 trains and 2h wait minimum. (Slightly better the other way, but includes 2h #coach for one of the two possible trips)
I appreciated it so much last time in #Veynes, on the #Briancon#Marseille line when both the #station and #train (super young) staff hung around while trying to reach a solution with a train which had a failing wheel. They didn't hide from us as many do, and were plain that for them too, being stranded was a problem!
