Ok, Fedora 40 is out already. If you've been too busy to submit your proposal for speaking at Flock, now is the time to get it in! The deadline was postponed to this Monday, April 29.
Our friends at Fedora are holding Flock in Rochester. We're excited to have a CentOS and friends track again. The CFP is open until April 21. Let's talk about CentOS 10 and the next five years of enterprise operating systems.
Flock to Fedora 2024 call for proposals open until Apr 21!
If you are interested in speaking at Flock, now's your chance to reach out. We have three tracks (main, CentOS and Friends, and Fedora Mentor Summit), but we also have themes that we're looking to explore.
Save the date! Flock to Fedora 2024 is happening at Rochester, New York from Aug 7-10! 📆
Flock is Fedora's contributor conference where we come together as a community to collaborate on the project, talk about plans, and vibe. Whether you've been part of the project for years or only started contributing recently, we hope you can make it!
On more look back to CentOS at Flock while we look forward to CentOS Connect at FOSDEM. Troy Dawson took the stage yet again, this time with @carlwgeorge, to tell us the state of EPEL.
We're looking back on the CentOS track at Flock while we prepare for CentOS Connect at FOSDEM. Today, watch Adam Samalik talk about how CentOS Stream and RHEL are developed in the public.
lots more trying to get #fedora#openqa update tests working post-F39 branching; I think I have it in a good state now, and gating is enabled for #rawhide again. All tests should pass for Rawhide updates, for F39 updates the desktop_background tests will fail as we don't have F39 backgrounds yet, I have dropped these from the gating policy for now
got sysadmin-main powers. somebody has made a terrible mistake somewhere
This is an interesting seat: Delta seat 5A on their CRJ900 (9E) configuration. It's a Comfort+ seat, but because it's at the front of Comfort+, there's actually more legroom than the first class seat. It's also not an exit row. Of course, the seat isn't as wide or as comfortable as a first class seat, and there is only one seat to store your bag under (and the overhead bins are super super tiny), but it's a great seat for legroom.
Still traveling home ( one more flight and then a 2h drive), and I will do a long firm post after I recover, but just wanted to say it was awesome to see everyone at #flocktofedora and my complements to all the organizers! 💙
Our #flocktofedora experience has felt very positive. So many productive conversations both from stage and in the "hallway track" as stakeholders of various enterprise Linux communities came together to talk face to face, build relationships, and work to establish a shared vision for the future. Sincere thanks to the Fedora community for holding space for this necessary work. #rockylinux#almalinux#centosstream#rhel
If Fedora is listed, you should be good. If Linux in general is listed then you should also be good except for those that have Nvidia cards - those will need a certain driver.
The Fedora Marketing Team is working with Lenovo to bring you a simplified view of what products ship or support Fedora, so be on the lookout for that! #Fedora#FlockToFedora#FlockIreland#Lenovo#Linux
