Hope everyone has a great day, except whoever introduced me to #MagicTheGathering. Because I'm sitting here looking at the upcoming Bloomburrow set knowing I'm gonna have to get some of these even though I have more than enough cards already. #Bloomburrow
Quintorius Kand, still a good egg. I would've gotten kicked out of that military academy for daydreaming too, buddy.
I don't quite feel done with this paint job, but I can't figure out exactly what still needs to be done. So I think he's going on the shelf, and I'll come back to it later.
Magic: The Gathering has come a long way since it debuted at Gen Con in 1993. Last year, it became a billion-dollar brand. The genius behind it, mathematician Richard Garfield, left Wizards of the Coast, Magic's publisher, shortly after it was sold to Hasbro in 1999 and has subsequently expressed an apparent disillusionment with what the game has become. Defector's Nick Zarzycki interviewed him about this, his perception of the existential threats to Magic, and why he left the company. [Story may be paywalled]
So I'm not saying my Gisa and Geralf #MTG#Commander deck is an aggro deck, but it did get my opponent to 5 on only 3 lands.
(Note that my commander and most of the deck is 4+ mana)
Turns out, Gravecrawler, Diregraf Colossus, and Corpse Blockade are very good friends.
(Ignore the fact that my opponent played no relevant spells for the first 5 turns of the game).
