I am always surprised to see that the garbage collection area wall needed to be where it is. They could easily have made it a meter narrower or rerouted the path a bit. But no. #ottbike#ottwalk#ottroll (private property shortcut between Starwood Rd and Navaho Apt off Baseline)
Last week I checked out the new Byron Ave. bike tracks in ##ottawa, separated from motorized traffic. They are nearly finished but due to expected snow I went out to take pics already to share with you. Here is how it looks like:
Hi all, Karen lost her binoculars on the Arboretum pathway on the west side of Dow’s Lake while birding. If you hear about them being found let me know. We suspect they may even have travelled on her bike luggage carrier after she had put her gloves back on. We are kind of scratching our heads how we didn’t hear them falling off. She was very attached to them (a birthday gift from me).
The stormwater ponds at Woodroffe across from the fire hall along the #ottbike and #ottwalk and #ottroll Experimental Farm pw are finally being finished.
I called 311 a week or so back to report a sidewalk on a busy street blocked by construction, and instead of sending it to a traffic inspector to ensure there was a safe pedestrian detour, they sent it to bylaw who called me back today to let me know they had a permit for construction! HOW CAN THIS CITY CARE LESS ABOUT PEDESTRIANS!? #OttWalk#OttRoll
Went to check out the beautiful new Chief William Commanda Bridge, along with many other #OttWalk , #OttBike , and #OttRoll folks it was great to see so many folks out enjoying it. Beautiful views and such a lovely addition to our active transit network!
