Thule is recalling the harness on the RideAlong child bicycle seat, because it may contain excessive levels of the flame retardant chemical DecaBDE.

If you have the RideAlong bicycle seat, you can have the harness replaced completely free of charge.

If you use a Philips machine, you might want to return it right now. 561 deaths have been linked to a failure where pieces of foam break off and are sent down the breathing mask where they can get inhaled.

“FDA says 561 deaths tied to recalled Philips sleep apnea machines”

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/fda-sleep-apnea-philips-recall-cpap/

owainski,

@drahardja The article doesn't seem to mention this but when the issue originally came up — I've been following this for a while for reasons -- the foam issue was across Respironics’ entire line of equipment including medical respirators, not just the Dreamstation. There's a good chance that those deaths are from people with compromised systems rather than just CPAP users. If anything that makes things worse for Phillips, rather than better, as it's not just a single model design flaw.

owainski,

@drahardja Also:

“Philips recalled the following devices […]:

A-Series BiPAeris0
A-Series BiPAP A40 (ventilator)
A-Series BiPAP Hybrid A30
A-Series BiPAP V30 Auto (ventilator)
C-Series ASV (ventilator)
C-Series S/T and AVAPS
DreamStation
DreamStation ASV
DreamStation Go
DreamStation ST, AVAPS
Dorma 400
Dorma 500
E30
Garbin Plus, Aeris, LifeVent (ventilator)
OmniLab Advanced+
REMstar SE Auto
SystemOne ASV4
SystemOne (Q-Series)
Trilogy 100 (ventilator)
Trilogy 200 (ventilator)”

"Snap is recalling and refunding every drone it ever sold"

Costa Coffee recalls sandwiches and wraps amid fears they contain ‘small stones’

'The coffee shop chain warned customers over four of its lunch products in a Food Standards Agency announcement'

UK only. I'm pretty sure those two sandwiches are supplied by M&S these days. I wonder why there's no mention of them.

donncha,

@garry not locally 🙂
With a name like that I'd avoid it!

@donncha Should be called Pret a Grapiller. My breakfast baguette there cost £6.00 today! You can get a meal for that in some places. (To be fair, you could have bought a house for that at some point in history.)

Re that last boost about Lidl GB recalling children's biscuits due to a security exploit - it's real not a mockup.
