Wow -- the first hit in a Qwant search for paypal was a paid ad for an obviously fraudulent site. (How do I know it's bogus? For one thing, this isn't a Windows machine.)

Znam w kolejności poznania: DuckDuckGo, MetaGer, Kagi, Qwant, SVMetaSearch, SearXNG.
Pomijam na razie wyszukiwarki koncentrujące się na wyszukiwaniu publikacji naukowych. O te zapytam kiedy indziej.
Co sądzicie? Wady i zalety? Może znacie jeszcze jakieś inne? Od wygłoszenia mojej opinii na podstawie doświadczenia na razie powstrzymam się, aby nie kierunkować dyskusji.
my first impressions of #Qwant vs. Google -- to me, it seems like google.stanford.edu (back when that was a thing) vs. AltaVista: Google had fewer pages total but in categories where sites were putting effort into gaming AltaVista, the top Google results were better

Just seen a thread full of hot new tips for non-skeevy search engines and someone mentioned Qwant, a French one. Sadly even before I heard it was French it was possible to guess because their English website copy reads exactly like all cheapjack, super-literal machine translations of French. Qwant wants your business and promises not to see you as just a bunch of clicks, but they think skilled human translators can be replaced with something that looks an awful lot like Google Translate. And I should trust these twats not to mangle my information?
Przy okazji padu zb3.org chciałem sprawdzić czy blogasek nie ucierpiał w wyszukiwarkach. No cóż. W tych tworzonych dla ludzi nie (#qwant, po prawej). W tych robionych dla seo i robotów jak najbardziej.
Nie korzystam z google już od jakiegoś czasu, bo zwraca bzdury 🤷♂️
W rozmowach z ludźmi słyszę, że g. jest słaby. Ale mamy wbite w głowy, że bez g. się nie da. Otóż da się. A jeśli szanujecie swój czas, to nawet trzeba.
P.S. Qwant.com to europejska #wyszukiwarka opracowana i utrzymywana przez Francuzów. Jedyna obecnie alternatywa (z własnym indeksem) do #google i #bing.
