'Look what you made me do!' | The government might have you believe they hold absolutely no responsibility for anything they’ve been in charge of for 13 long years. It's always Someone Else's Fault! | Roger Winterbottom
Chris Grey's Brexit and Beyond blog for this week is up. Dealing with Raab and the civil service.
As always very good, and, as alway, it will infuriate you while informing you.
Dominic #Raab seems the sort of guy who in a different life (hopefully not this one) might periodically spend hours practising his karate moves, naked in front of his floor-length mirror, before going out at night to murder women
(If I meant this purely as a tastless joke, I agree it wouldn't be funny. I don't say this to be funny)
#Raab following all the classic steps of bullying.
When confronted- deny it all
Claim that any action perceived as bullying was unintentional
Finally, when sanctioned, whine that the people who were being bullied are actually the ones picking on the bully.
The only redeeming point was that he resigned, which has been sadly lacking from members of this corrupt government. However, if he had true integrity and awareness of his actions, he would have resigned at step 1 with an apology.
#Raab's utterly destructive Bill of Rights must follow him out the door, a Bill which would drive a forklift truck through fundamental human rights - making a mockery of democratic process, turning rights into privileges, making it harder to challenge power abuses. It must go too
After retweeting a lot on Dominic #Raab's resignation on Twitter, I popped over to #Mastodon to see if this is trending here, did it with little expectation there would be much. Very pleased to be proven wrong. I am not convinced he wasn't effectively sacked, in the sense that Rishi Sunak told him to resign or he'd sack him. His 'resignation' doesn't look voluntary to me. He's slamming the door on the way out and taking pot shots at everyone, including the Prime Minister.
