It is often discussed if google/apple/huawei/Amazon/etc are actively listening in on your conversations in order to target ads for you. It has mostly been dismissed as paranoia.
But now Cox media claim that they have an ad system that does exactly that using voice data from before mentioned companies. They call it Active Listening.
If this is the case, the companies will have a lot of explaining to do
Is this legal? YES- it is totally legal for #phones and #devices to listen to you. That's because consumers usually give #consent when accepting #terms and conditions of software #updates or app #downloads."
Have a look at #Zoom's new #terms, especially §10, which took effect on July 27th.
They can do whatever they like with your "Customer #Content" (session recordings, uploaded files, …) now, also with the related #metadata ("Service Generated Data"): machine learning, "sharing", … - "for any purpose, to the extent and in the manner permitted under applicable Law".
I'd say this sinks Zoom as an option within the #EU. No way to make this remotely compatible with the #GDPR.
I am working on Russian translation of Kbin right now and I noticeed that many of Kbin terminology just sounds.. Like a bad translation (Maybe from Polish it was originally written on?..), and I am sure many of you can agree with me...
Regarding the #Printavles contests? Can the comminity vote in any way? Do we need to like, download, and post a make? I also see stats next to submissions, but it does nothing when I click on it
OC Many of Kbin terms dont make sense.. Why not replace them?
