Had to move to a Win11 machine, because of work - I’ve never been so frustrated with a Windows interface in my life. For reference, I’ve used everything from Windows 3.11 to 10, enjoying most upgrades (except Vista). Never have I experienced such UI and usability downgrade.
Prices have gone berserk. New tech and safety features you get are great, if implemented well. Going for a more reliable and conservative car brand might be better for you, and don’t ever buy anything that has capacitative buttons instead of physical ones. Hopefully, safety agencies will downright outlaw this shitty trend soon.
This is the only one from the list that I skipped. They couldn’t force me to upgrade from 7 at the time, then the reviews came, and I wouldn’t touch 8 with a stick. Waited for Win10 instead.
I wish I could skip 11 to whatever next version they fix it with, but alas this time I’m trapped :/
I rocked a Samsung Alias 2 for 4 years before I got an iPhone 5. The e-ink keyboard was awesome how it changed when you flipped the screen open to portrait or landscape.
A other happy v630i user here. Don’t know how many years I spent all in all, but I used it for everything. Even remember loading some books as text files, and reading quite a lot on its tiny screen during the longer bus rides.
Would love to know what you guys think and your reasoning for it. I’m starting to see a lot of Apple Watches/Fitbits/Galaxy Watches in my area compared to more traditional timepieces.
You can get a Whoop band or Oura ring, or something similar - from what I’ve gathered they are just like regular bracelet or ring, with good sensors inside, and no screen to distract. Plus, this probably makes them way more lightweight than watch-like smartbands.
Article cites UK Ministry of Defence wrong, it’s actually total of 240,000 to 290,000 killed + permamently or temporarily wounded. Still staggering figures, though.

Thanks for explaining, because based on the displayed pucture and the direction arrows in the content window you would think it’s the other way - scrolling mouse wheel up to move content up.
Confusing way too display it, but I guess whoever is in that settings window knows what they’re on at the moment and that it would invert it.
I came across a video on Youtube discussing it (there are several), and Kowloon Walled City is just endlessly fascinating. A few notable videos I found on the subject were:...
Goddamn, I played and loved the first two Shadowruns by Harebrained, and then left Hong Kong at the start due to lack of time. Reading this makes me want to puck it up immediately!
I just had to report something to the police that will probably end a very close friendship of mine, but it was something that was totally not okay and I had to do it. But I still feel like a piece of shit for it. Have you ever felt like this and how did you get through it?
This describes it perfectly. Still feel bad for ending a relationship, but no “what if”-s ever come to my mind - you just did what was right, no matter how many introspections you have had later, and that’s the end of it.
It’s great TV tech, I’m just underwhelmed by Tizen and its app ecosystem - doesn’t have nearly enough options, some non-major apps are barebones compared to their Android counterparts, sees less support.
My only real alternative for good quality TV with Android was Sony, but they had dropped the ball at the time concerning Variable Refresh Rate support, and prices weren’t great either, so I decided against.
I can still use Android apps through a cable tv box that has them, but most of the time it isn’t worth the bother for me - easier to just switch on the TV and use its native system.
Ukraine on Saturday criticized Bulgaria’s pro-Russian president over his remarks that Kyiv is to blame for Russia’s ongoing war and that supplying arms to Ukraine only prolongs the conflict. Our president is a piece of shit. Good thing is that after we finally got a working government he isn’t controlling almost anything of substance. So he can make his shit speeches until his term ends, and we will still help Ukraine as much as we can. Sad thing is, some part of the population still listen to him and Russian propaganda spewing, refusing to think for themselves.
It was really funny last week when Zelensky got invited and he had to publicly meet him, all our pResident bullshit talking points got refuted on national TV by someone with much more cojones than he can ever have, leaving this MF-er looking like a fool. I really hope this way good logic reached some people.
You can turn these off. It’s part of their crypto rewards system (you get occasional ads, some crypto and then some of it gets distributed back to the websites you vist most, or just the ones you select) so it’s on by default. But you can easily opt out of this from settings.
I don’t think this whole crypto system lifted off really, but it was a neat idea to reward web content creators and users, according to traffic and preferences.
