Latest ebay arrival; Lady Snowblood manga volume 1. After watching both films last weekend I went looking for the original manga they were based on. There are 4 volumes translated into English and published by Dark Horse about 20 years ago, long out of print

Volume 1 seems relatively easy to get hold of, cost me £20, but the later volumes are more scarce it looks like, so I've got a couple of saved searches running now, hopefully I can pick them up

Just watched The Matrix for the first time in a very long time, probably 15-20 years. Still an utterly fantastic film. Everything still holds up very well imo

Loved the very end. Something I never noticed before; Neo is leaving his answerphone message about living in a world without rules or boundaries, as the camera zooms in on the words SYSTEM FAILURE until just the letters M F are visible on screen. Love the Wachowskis

After starting World of Horror on Switch and chatting to a few people here about Junji Ito, I ordered Uzumaki just before Xmas and it arrived yesterday

Have read the first couple of chapters, and I'm now nervously checking my house for spirals 😰

@helligbird so I just started Three Houses and made it to the monastery, am liking it so far! Playing on Normal difficulty with permadeath turned off, no idea what I'm doing 😅

Any noob tips? Can I change the difficulty later, or would I have to start again?

Is the season pass worth getting for the extra story?

Started playing the original Shiren the Wanderer on my DS and it's about the most un-fun game I think I've ever played. It's like it actively hates the player. I kinda respect the devs for sticking with their vision but fuck me I've nearly launched my DS at the wall 5 times and I've only been playing for a couple of hours

The second of two shows with no band, only Shihoko Hirata, Yumi Kawamura, Lotus Juice, and DJ WAKA. Again this is way better than I was expecting. Filmed at the final night of a 3 show mini tour.

This one features quite a few of the dance remixes from Persona 4: Dancing All Night, and a 10 minute instrumental mix by DJ WAKA. These remixes really work live in this format, I would've loved to have been at this!

FFS this has to be one of the worst translation errors in a game I've ever seen, just for the sheer amount of frustration it caused. So I've been playing the new #ShirenTheWanderer on Switch, a brutally hard roguelike dungeon crawler

When you die in a dungeon (which you will a lot) you're supposed to be able to send a "rescue request" so that other players online can make it to your location and revive you

Except this option wouldn't appear for me

My delivery probably isn't gonna arrive until mid afternoon, I've known this for days. It's 8:30 am and I'm already contemplating firing up the PS5 and just buying the digital version so I can start downloading it now

Made it to floor 30/31 in the main dungeon in #ShirenTheWanderer, so close! 😰

Have unlocked a new treasure room 6 floor dungeon that's full of great items, but also lots of horrible monsters, so you have to be careful

Also finished quite a few story arcs and have several characters who will join me if I see them in the dungeons now. The companions are amazing if you can keep them alive. Most I've had following me at one time is 2, but you can probably have more

So glad I persevered with this

2 more companions, Asuka again, and Hibiki the pirate quartermaster who throws status items at enemies

Woo! I played the first TD last year on my DS while I was sick with COVID. It was a really surreal experience and not one I will ever forget. Have the 2nd one but not played it yet
