As part of DeSantis’ “Freedom Summer” initiative, the state’s transportation secretary, Jared W. Perdue, announced earlier this month that bridges in the state will have no choice but to be illuminated in red, white and blue from Memorial Day through Labor Day....
My ex-wife worked for non profit for most of our marriage, these are my summations of her frustrations over the years. She and I both were pretty severely depressed during this period as well, so keep that in mind:
they are run like a business, and can be just as political
you will be overworked and under paid
career prospects are limited
the board is sometimes full of sexist idiots
you will meet some wonderful people but still sometimes work with and for idiots
All that being said you are doing something that typically is doing good for humanity.
My lease has two things. Mow the lawn AND abide by any HOA shit, so I had to mow the lawn to their standards and do the random bullshit they came up with. My garbage cans were in front of my house for 9 months and then all of a sudden it was a problem. Fuck HOA’s and land bastards
Went to Google Play to complain about Hulu. I noticed Google advertising that over 300 reviews had the verbatim quote “watch and movies that you love”. It’s always confusing that buggy corporate apps have >95% 5 star reviews until you see that the majority are just completely fake, and no one cares or is doing anything...
I agree with you, but look where the money is at. Google and Amazon and the rest want to take a cut of the money you give these apps and goods. It loses them money if they police these things.
That’s why strong regulation can be a good thing, keep the capitalists in check at least a tiny bit.
Ah ok thanks. Good on Ubisoft I guess? Black people are part of the world and deserve to be represented. I’m sad that this is a fucking point of contention.
Believe in working you a ton? That’s true. It’s kind of an American work culture thing. Corporations figured out that they don’t even need to pay people more and the culture of working will still keep going.
It’s really fascinating working with Europeans, I definitely don’t work a lot but I still am embarrassed about it if that makes sense. Like I am cheating. But my colleagues in Europe can take vacations and holidays with no shame
Yeah I don’t mean to imply that both parties aren’t corrupt. The gop seems to just be better at it and therefore the Democrats are forced to have slightly more sane policies.
I just joined a fantastic team and within a month I saw how dysfunctional it is. Nobody knows how to organize humans. Whoever actually figures it out could rule the world.
