Which shouldn’t happen. The guy owns a hot tub and is extrapolating that to pool water maintenance. You test the water every few days and see exactly where your levels are, and you know how much of what chemicals you need to add.

But in all seriousness and to actually add to the topics discussion, Suboxone and methadone are the 2 options. Suboxone for a quick taper. Quick tapers don’t usually last for addicts, unless you can build stability (unlikely, addicts are often addicts because they’re unhappy from a period of instability, or mental illness which is worsened by instability…) by the time you are done with your taper. But methadone has changed my life. Although I’m still on it, so technically I’m still on an opioid, but at least I can be productive and have periods of stability.
You can use add-ons with tor browser, it just leads to a much smaller fingerprint to identify you. The number of people with uBlock origin is large enough.
You’re correct that it’s not recommended and can possibly hurt your anonymity and privacy but it’s important to understand the reason so you can make the right decision for yourself.
When you install add-ons in tor browser (besides NoScript which is installed by default) they narrow your specific browser fingerprint. JavaScript enabled sites can get a list of browser add-ons you use. But many people still install uBlock origin on tor browser. As long as you don’t install 5 add-ons it won’t hurt your anonymity much. Installing uBlock Origin may narrow your unique fingerprint down to tens of thousands of people instead of hundreds of thousands or millions, but it won’t make tor instantly worthless and can in some cases improve your security.
It all depends on your risk assessment. Are you just looking for extra privacy and anonymity, or is there a large target on your back put there by a government agency or organization of some sort?

I also remember I was having issues with a kid in school and the school counselor sat us down and talked to us about anger and emotions, etc. I think we had a short daily session for a few weeks. This was in the 90s.
The American education is state funded daycare with forced learning about dry topics, so we don’t even remember 90% of what we learned. People talk about wishing they learned about taxes and resumes etc in school. Those were Freshman and Sophomore level electives for us in a small town in the early 00s.
