Anna from No Such Thing as a Fish recommended an Australian podcast called Smart Enough to Know Better years ago and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying both since. And I would say if you get the opportunity to see No Such Thing as a Fish live go for it. They are excellent live.
US President Joe Biden has condemned Iranian attacks on military facilities in Israel, pledging a coordinated Group of Seven (G7) diplomatic response while highlighting the United States’s help in taking down “nearly all” of the attacking drones and missiles....
Why are you saying Palestine? Israel are claiming they are fighting Hamas. Hamas aren’t interchangeable with Palestine. Israel are indiscriminately murdering innocent Palestinians, none of these people have “refused a ceasefire”. Whats worse about all this is Hamas wouldn’t even exist is Israel hadn’t funded them.
I think a big part of the problem is that while Hamas are fucken evil, they were a tool used by Israel to destroy the Palestinian people. Hamas wouldn’t still exist if Israel didn’t want them to businessinsider.com/israel-security-forces-escort…
Israel has always had the goal of killing everyone in Palestine. Feed some rockets through to Hamas so they will be fired at them, send in an incredibly well funded military to level a few block (mostly with US taxpayer money), and use that military to protect the “settlers” who will just take the land.
The only change is they have expedited the process.
What part of “Netanyahu’s […] own reported statements — was to keep Hamas strong enough to counteract the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, allowing [him/Israel] to avoid a two-state peace solution” implies wanting peace?
Raised by Wolves was killed by David Zaslav when HBO was brought by Discovery. The is the reason Discovery switched from educational programmes to reality TV. He ruins everything he touches.
Smart Enough to Know Better - Australian podcast where two guys discuss things that interest then in a humorous way. Could be the latest astrophysics news, could be the location of stomachs and diet of a centaur.
If you haven’t seen it already check out Bobby Fingers on YouTube. Only 4 videos so far (all amazing) and is the other half of the Rubber Bandits. Very talented VFX artist
I saw this post and wanted to ask the opposite. What are some items that really aren’t worth paying the expensive version for? Preferably more extreme or unexpected examples.
"The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money.
Take boots, for example. He earned thirty-eight dollars a month plus allowances. A really good pair of leather boots cost fifty dollars. But an affordable pair of boots, which were sort of OK for a season or two and then leaked like hell when the cardboard gave out, cost about ten dollars. Those were the kind of boots Vimes always bought, and wore until the soles were so thin that he could tell where he was in Ankh-Morpork on a foggy night by the feel of the cobbles.
But the thing was that good boots lasted for years and years. A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that’d still be keeping his feet dry in ten years’ time, while the poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet."
For me it was how he would start his videos with asking people what he thought about something them basically going, I’m so much smarter than you here a video of why you are wrong you. Never included people getting it right because it wouldn’t fit his self centered narrative. I heard he’s stopped doing that but I won’t watch to find out.

As much as people are disenfranchised the two parties are not the same. One is conservative, and the other is trying to create a authoritarian theocracy.
100% agree that ranked voting/proportional representation is a much better option. The problem with FPTP is you have to keep picking the lesser evil or the greater evil wins. It’s a bad system, I’m lucky in a country that doesn’t use FPTP
Libertarian?! Good luck with that. You know what, go ahead. Vote for a third party, I just not sure how you’ll get to a polling station without using the public funded road system, oh well
