@yourautisticlife @actuallyautistic I often do a lot of research before shopping, too. For me, I think that part of it is wanting to not waste money, but another part is to delay the purchase in case it's an "ooh shiny" ADHD whim.

I also often use a website called Camel Camel Camel to check how the current price compares to previous prices.

@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic I struggle with the feel of having anything on my head. Generally I try to avoid noisy situations, leave as soon as possible, or take frequent bathroom breaks.

I tried out a family member's headphones once. The pressure of the headphones was slightly less distressing than the noise being blocked out, but it wasn't enough relief for me to want to wear them regularly.

I keep thinking about in-ear buds or plugs but it's expensive if I decide I don't like them.
