@johnefrancis Where do you think "hateful disinformation" emanates from? Hateful people. Why are people hateful? It's not just because they once heard someone else's hate speech. Hateful attitudes are learned and engrained.

@johnefrancis Revenue is no issue for me, as my subs are free (I'm paid as a prof to 'disseminate' stuff). But having built a list of subscribers, it'll basically be like starting over, even if I'll be asking people to follow me to a new platform.

My 8th book (5th edited collection) has just been officially approved for publication by University of Toronto Press! "Rights & Institutional Relationships" came together out of a workshop in honour of Janet Hiebert, and features a great collection of papers on parliamentary rights review, various rights issues, and the institutional mechanisms protecting (or failing to protect) them. Looking forward to seeing it in print.

@mpjgregoire The most straightforward thing they could do is pose a reference to the SCC and make the relevant arguments during the hearing (while drawing on my paper, natch!)

@ygalanter @jacobtlevy I can buy a single beacon, to the extent the Borg Queen wanted to be in direct control of everything. Where I got stuck was "Starfleet is literally bringing their entire fleet to one event oh and also they've made the most ludicrously stupid decision to connect them all for some reason." Very convenient!
