Am currently using megalodon app on Android to post to/read Mastodon.

I want to change for various reasons - please suggest a different Android app to me.

Additional info:

  • Must be Android
  • Yes I know I can 'Just Use a Browser', but that's not what I need to do.
  • Preferably something available via Android app store. Don't want to have to compile from Git or build it myself.

I have ardour(6), I have an mp3, I want to clip a section of the mp3 - more precisely want to cut away large section of mp3 and just leave the end audio.

Anyone got any youtube or tutorial links that show me how to do that please?

Don't need an Ardour masterclass I just need to do this one thing.

@RogerBW Think I'm going to try Audacity - apparently the 2.4.2 version which is what I've installed, is Remote Telemetry free so it's safe.

Noticed this urge some ppl have when a person they don't know talks about having a phobic / disassociative episode:

The urge to state things that set off phobia /disassociation is actually ' A beautiful thing' or 'A functional Thing' IS IN NO WAY HELPFUL.

Example

Person A: Shaking because I'm bee phobic, huge bee just flew into room landing on my leg. Luckily managed to scoop it into a cup & put outside, but still upset

Reply Person B: Bees are so beautiful! Without them we'd have no food.

I don't know how or why but the webcomic/site seems fine but the rss feed is pumping out some egregious spam.

Been happening for 3 days now.

Strangely although I have dyscalulia I'm very comfortable with algebra and higher maths that doesn't use numbers because
I can perceive letters fine.

It's numbers that are shifting amorphous blobs.

Also a lot of math when you get down to it is a shared hallucination - because I do NOT LIKE Negative numbers and the concept of infinity makes my brain itch. So there. 🤨 😖

I was a Mint/Mate user, but the last few years it's stability has been .. underwhelming and I prioritise stability.

So now I use Debian with KDE Plasma desktop.

The pandemic is not over but nearly everyone I interact with is acting like it is? And now I'm not going to attend a (potentially) once in a lifetime event because I'd rather be sad than sick and everyone else is just so excited to go sit in an arena full of other people, and I'm just desperately sad.

Very much wish I could not be sad but don't know how.

Only upside is tickets are prob going to be on the expensive side, so that's another incentive to not go.

Just finished a great book The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling. It's a romantic comedy (of sorts) and is a sequel to The Ex Hex.

I highly recommend it if you like stories with a modern setting, some magic, great characters (and some quite steamy sex).

I'd happily read another book in the same setting if Sterling ever writes one.

Plenty of room (and characters) to tell stories about in the town of Penhallow..

@shantini it's not normally a Genre I read but I really enjoyed this one.

Author is really good at writing characters that feel like they could easily step off the page - also (within reason) they react to the supernatural in very believable ways !
