Hazdaz,

I heard this years later by my former boss. He used to work for a company that just announced some lay-offs because work was slow. Right as the lay-offs were being announced the head of the company pulled into the lot with his new Porsche lease. It was terrible timing, but the corporate lease was up and the car was ordered months prior. Just made the owner look especially tone-deaf since the car came the same say as the lay-off announcement.

Hazdaz,

On the plus side, even if you did need to update Linux, it’s not like you are running anything on it anyways.

Hazdaz,

The number of pro-communist posts in here is comical. The amount of anti-capitalist posts is almost comical. Obviously related to some degree.

The lack of posts outside of a few main news and politics communities is frustrating.

Hazdaz,

The idea that men make more than women for similar jobs with similar experience is a myth that needs to die.

The idea was based on flawed data from the get-go, but it has persisted because it is an easy way to rile up the troops.

Hazdaz,

That’s great when all those people live in the same block and go to work at the same company and have the same hours.

But Frank lives 10 miles away and works on the other side of town. And Tim lives 3 towns over and works the night shift. Bill lives in the country and works 40 miles away. Eddy lost a leg in the war and while he is only 1/2 mile from the bus station, can’t walk that far with his disability.

When it is convenient, it is convenient, but there’s a reason why when given the choice, most normal people will drive their car instead no matter what the nonsense in this subs likes to pretend is real.

Are there really so few car enthusiasts on this site? This sub seems to have such little traffic. What gives?

Coming from Reddit, there were multiple car-related subs and they all saw some fairly heavy traffic with lots of posts and comments. Heck, even some of the model-specific ones seem to get more interaction than this sub does. What’s the deal?

Hazdaz,

Seems like the equator would make a perfect location for a wind farm. Looking at this map that was posted above, just have rows and rows of them that follow the equator.

Hazdaz,

That’s the generation of Mazda 3 that I think nearly killed the company. Such an ugly design. What’s worse is that they didn’t rush through a restyling. They just kept on keeping on. Tweaking the styling and aiming more at the WRX, they really could have moved quite a few of the MS3 versions.

Hazdaz,

Why should men go into construction which is a job that requires skill and actually working hard, when CA is now going to be paying skill-less fast food workers $20/hr?

Doing a quick search shows that even within CA the average pay rate is just $23/hr for construction workers and yet that job requires much more skill than someone flipping a burger.

Hazdaz,

Make sure you get one of the professional ones. In fsct when i got the first one, i went to a beauty supply store that caters to hairstylists and barbers, as opposed to going to Walmart. Not sure if it is/was bullshit, but I had heard that Walmart gets lower quality units (not unlike the claims that the TVs sold on Black Friday are poorer quality compared to regular ones). Both of mine were made in US.

Just a heads up, you can buy new blades for fairly cheap. On my old unit I replaced the blades maybe 10 years into owning it. I think because of how the blades are shaped, sharpening them might not really be possible. But I could be wrong.

Hazdaz,

Wahl hair trimmer. No nonsense hair trimmer. Made in the US. Corded so don’t have to worry about batteries failing. Been using it every couple of weeks for probably close to 15 years and only recently replaced it with another Wahl trimmer. Got my money’s worth out of the first one many times over and would highly recommend it. I expect the new one to last a similar amount of time.

Would you quit your job if you got $24,000 a year?

Assume you rented a house for $2,000 a month. You own the home and it is completely paid off. You also live in another house that is also paid off. Would you quit your job (most likely a higher salary and benefits) to enjoy life and never work again for some money to survive? I would assume a very frugal life.

Hazdaz,

Oh when are the illogical “lAnDlOrDs ArE eViL!” pitchforks going to come out??

Either way, $24k doesn’t pay for shit. Taxes alone on a house could take a huge percentage of that $24k/year. Even the lamest of burger flipping jobs would double that money coming in and give you some more reasonable amount of funds to live off of. And if you are renting out a house for $2k/mo then you’d need insurance and cover maintenance. Everything costs money.

Hazdaz,

So put a bullet in his head and call it a day. Enough with this bullshit.

Hazdaz,

How is this not going to increase the amount of bots, endless re-posts and in general FUD they get inundated with?

On the surface it sounds great and all, but to me it seems like it will accelerate the site being the shithole that it was headed to. Introducing money into anything like this typically brings out the worse in people.

Hazdaz,

Marketing is a $1/4 TRILLION industry in the US alone because it works. Thinking that you are immune to it for one reason or another is laughable. In fact those that think they are immune to it, probably are the most susceptible to it’s pull.

Hazdaz,

People that defend criminals are the lowest of the low. Pathetic.

Hazdaz,

Here’s another idea: Don’t pull a knife out on a cop. Not too complicated. Not particularly difficult to follow. In fact, for sane, innocent people, it only makes sense.

Hazdaz,

Not this time!

Hazdaz,

The difficult part for you to gasp is that you don’t pull a fucken knife on a cop. Done. Period. You seem stupid, but even you aren’t dumb enough to do that. This guy? He fucked around and found out. Nothing of value was lost that day.

Hazdaz,

The left might be even worse than the far right. Everyone knows that Fox is shit, but the left likes to pretend they have higher values or doesn’t push propaganda, but they use the same techniques as the Infowars or NewsMax of the world.

Hazdaz,

The big questions that no one is asking:

Why did it take so long to get him for fraud? They specifically mentioned that this was while he was building his real estate empire. He’s been doing that since the 80s. Why the fuck did it take some 4 decades to build up a big enough case against him?! Why wasn’t he previously investigated? Why weren’t any of our useless news agencies digging into his finances? He ran for fucken president, for fucks sakes… why couldn’t all this mess have been avoided if various news departments and law enforcement agencies did their damn jobs.

The most egregious thing about all this is that if he didn’t run for president, probably none of this criminal activity would ever have really come to light. District attorneys and news rooms across the country would have just let all this slide. Which then makes you wonder - how many other billionaires are there out there who are nearly as corrupt as Trump, but because they don’t lavish the media attention, they keep low and none of us know about them. Why aren’t those people being investigated? Why does it take decades to go after these asswipes and only when they purposefully shine the light on themselves?

Hazdaz,

What the fuck are they thinking? The Z that you want with the LSD is a $10k added to the $40k base price. I think the base price is actually not bad, but you shouldn’t need to spent $10k to get the next model up. And then $26k more to get this Nismo.

Here, Nissan, let me solve this for you. Keep the base price of the Z at $40k. Make the next step up with the LSD a $5k bump up to $45k. And this Nismo should be no more than another $10 on top of that, to $55k. Then you are competitive.

Hazdaz,

Love how people are confusing salaries or yearly income to net worth.

Net worth is the total accumulated value of all the stuff you own (value of assets minus the liabilities) - houses, cars, investments, etc. That is massively different than what you are getting paid each year which is what a lot of people here are using as a metric.

It isn’t out of the question for someone to make “only” $100 or 200k/year and be considered a “millionaire” by most people’s definition. They might be older and have paid off their house. That house might be worth $500k and all the other stuff they own is a few hundred thousand more. Plus maybe $100k in some investment portfolio. Thus making them technically a millionaire. There are a lot more millionaires out there than people realize, including some people here or their parents or maybe grand parents.

That’s not to take away from the argument that billionaires have too much money, but at least phrase the movement correctly. Stop equating someone making $50k/year with someone’s who’s assets are worth $1B. That’s comparing apples to oranges and not just by the sheer difference in the numbers either.
